Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Philippians 2:3

Troy & Megan Meissner

Camp Director

Troy, Megan, and Elena joined the staff in 2005.  Troy and Megan both had past connections to Lake Lundgren Bible Camp.  Megan attended summer camps as a child and was on SST (the Summer Staff Team) for 4 years during college.  Troy came to camp for weekend retreats and as a volunteer.

Growing up, Troy and Megan attended the same church and youth group and were married in June of 1998.  That year Megan graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a B.A. degree in elementary education.  In 2000, Troy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a B.S. in mechanical engineering.  Elena was born on March 5, 2004.  The Meissner’s moved to camp from Racine, WI where they attended Kenosha Bible Church and Troy worked for a property insurance company in Chicago, IL.

Troy served as the Kitchen Coordinator until 2020 when he became the camp director after the departure of Roger Tahtinen. Megan continues to help whenever she can, whether in the Kitchen or throughout other areas of camp.  She spends much of her time homeschooling and caring for their children.   Caleb was born in 2005; Rachel in 2009; Autumn in 2011; Greta in 2013; Peter in 2015; and Titus in 2018.  They live in a home they built less than a mile from camp, where they often entertain guests.  The Meissner’s enjoy biking, hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities, as well as playing games with friends and family.
