SUMMARY:Junior 1
DESCRIPTION:Junior camps are a great place to start the camp experience. The cabin groups travel as a group from one activity to the next for the bulk of the time\, and then get to experience some autonomy during the afternoon free time slot. Each activity area is supervised for the highest level of safety. The chapel sessions and Biblical teaching focuses on broad concepts. Each day revolves around a central spiritual theme that is then debriefed at the end of the day during the cabin debrief time. The duration of the camp allows for a fun and safe time for campers to explore a new location\, hear from God’s Word\, and meet new friends. \nDrop off date and time: June 29 at 1-2:30pm. SUMMARY:Leadership Development Camp 1a
DESCRIPTION:For over 30 years we have had the opportunity to invest into the leaders of the future through our Leadership Development Camp (LDC). LDC 1 is a six-day program for students entering 10th-12th grade who desire to grow in their faith and in leadership. During LDC\, trusted and committed leaders walk with students as they dive deeper into their faith while experiencing serving opportunities and fellowship in a close-knit community. \nStudents that are involved in LDC will study God’s Word\, learn the importance of memorizing scripture\, receive training to develop their leadership skills\, and participate in leadership roles around camp. LDC takes place during regular youth camps\, giving an excellent opportunity for students to interact with campers and staff to observe and experience leadership firsthand. \nTo be accepted into the Leadership Development Camp program\, please apply. \nDrop off date and time: July 13 at 1-2:30pm. SUMMARY:Mountain Biking Trip
DESCRIPTION:Biking trips are a lower difficulty. Aside from the physical endurance needed to ride a significant part of each day\, all of the gear is held within the vehicle near the camp site–which means there is not a lot of hauling equipment. Since the vehicles are nearby each day\, foods held in coolers are provided which means that the food is more like what you would eat at home (versus freeze tried packaged meals). \nThe Mountain Bike Trip will take place in the Chequamegon National Forest\, located in North-Central Wisconsin (approx. 200 miles west of Lake Lundgren Bible Camp). We will be peddling on mountain bike trails made by the CAMBA (Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association)\, which include over 300 miles of trails ranging from easy to difficult. \nDepending on weather and trail conditions\, our typical day starts off at around 7:30am and includes peddling anywhere between ten and thirty miles each day before setting up camp. Some days we will come back to the same campsite\, some days we’ll relocate our “base camp” to a new area. Each evening will include devotions and reflection time. \nThere is no shortage of incredible sights\, as the trails meander around multiple lakes\, over bridges\, and through a beautiful part of God’s creation. There is so much to see on this trip!

DESCRIPTION:Youth 1 really captures the heart of what summer camp is all about. The campers get to experience the more involved night games and the more advanced activities that were unavailable to them during Junior and Intermediate camps. The teaching goes deeper too. The extra time spent at camp during youth weeks also helps to establish a stronger connection between the campers in each cabin. \nDrop off date and time: July 13 at 1-2:30pm. SUMMARY:Flambeau River Canoe Trip
DESCRIPTION:Canoe trips are a medium difficulty. The gear is mostly transported in the canoe\, which requires less physical effort. As a result\, foods held in coolers are provided which means that the food is more like what you would eat at home (versus freeze tried packaged meals). Some skill in navigating the rapids on the river adds some extra challenge (and extra fun). All technical gear for the trip is provided by camp which means you do not have to purchase specialized gear. \nThe Flambeau River is located in North-Central Wisconsin 160 miles west of Lake Lundgren Bible Camp. A river made by God and set apart by the Wisconsin DNR for canoe trips. \nThe trip begins with registration and orientation in the Adventure Trip building. We then head to the waterfront at LLBC to take our swim tests and learn how to canoe properly. After packing up our gear and loading the van\, we head off to our “put in” location on the river. We eat lunch on the way to our “put in” (usually Deadman’s Slough). Getting all the gear loaded and getting used to how the canoe handles are first days objectives as we paddle only a few miles to our first night’s camp site. \nUpon arrival at our camp site\, we set up camp followed by a meal over the open fire. Reading and learning from God’s word is part of every evening. Swimming\, fishing\, games\, stories and time around the camp fire round out the rest of the day.\nDepending on weather and vacancy of the river\, our day starts off at around 7:30. After breakfast we break camp and load all our gear in the canoes. Each day we canoe between 6 and 12 miles. \nThe river has rapids along the way. Many are unranked; some are ones and a few are twos. In a way only God could build\, the rapids on the river tend to get more difficult as the days go on. This allows young canoers time to mature in their abilities to steer the canoe as well as “reading the river”. The last and shortest day has the two best rapids. This is an exciting way to end the trip with a great sense of accomplishment. \nEach day is very different yet somewhat the same. We need water\, so stopping to fill up at each of the designated water pumps is a must. Fishing along the way and cooling down in the river is always fun on hot days. \nWe get an early start the last morning. After eating breakfast and packing\, we hit the water for a short fun stretch. Stopping along the way we scout the bigger rapids and help each other through. After finishing the “Beaver dam” (last rapids) we come to our “take out” where we land our canoes and haul our gear to the van. After packing it all up in van\, we head for LLBC. Along the way we stop for food and some fun as we stretch our legs and get out of the van. \nWe arrive at LLBC in the evening. We unpack and set up tents for the night. We spend some time cleaning up and playing games together. We eat breakfast at the dining hall\, followed by some cleanup and unpacking at the trip building. After all the work is done\, we sit-down and talk about the things we have learned and how God has shown himself to us this week on the Flambeau River.

SUMMARY:Teen 2
DESCRIPTION:Since the campers are older\, the activities are taken up a notch. Campers will have the option of participating in a variety of unique tournaments and activities that are unavailable to younger campers. The speakers are age-appropriate\, and seek to challenge teens in their faith. Particularly\, there is an emphasis on how to prepare for the transition beyond high school. For the Teen weeks\, we run seminars on one afternoon for the campers to be able to go a little deeper. We also have special topics that are relevant to that age group\, and occasionally extended worship times. \nDrop off date and time: July 27 at 1-2:30pm.
