90 Years of Ministry. A Growing Legacy

Since 1935, Lake Lundgren Bible Camp has been a place set apart—a sacred space where lives are transformed by the love of Jesus Christ. For 90 years, campers have heard the Gospel, made lifelong friendships, and experienced the joy of growing in their faith surrounded by God’s beautiful creation.

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re not just looking back with gratitude—we’re looking forward with vision. The mission hasn’t changed. But our calling to serve future generations compels us to grow, build, and dream boldly.

A Legacy in Motion: 90 Years of Growth

Lake Lundgren Bible Camp has always been more than cabins and trails—it’s a ministry shaped by God’s provision and the generosity of His people. Over the past 90 years, each project has been a stepping stone toward greater impact.

From our earliest buildings in the 1930s to major renovations and new construction today, this timeline tells the story of a camp that continues to grow—so that more lives can be changed by the message of the Gospel.

Testimonials

  • It was while working on the Summer Staff Team 2009-2012 that decided to go into full-time ministry, which I’m still pursuing to this day. I’ve pastored and now teach the Bible and theology professionally.

  • This week I read my Bible more and took notes. I feel like God is calling me to be a missionary, but I don’t know where. I hope to be a nurse on the mission field someday. Also, I Learned about prayer and scripture which helped me understand why prayer and reading the Bible is actually important.

  • Lake Lundgren Bible Camp has been an incredibly meaningful part of my life. I’ve been attending since New Camper Experience, and now I’m part of SST! Over the years, I’ve participated in both the regular camps and the leadership programs, each one shaping me in unique ways and drew me closer to the Lord. One of the most impactful experiences for me was having a counselor to look up to—they played a significant role in strengthening my faith. I feel truly blessed to have stepped into that same role over the past two summers, encouraging others in their walk with Christ just as I was encouraged.

  • When I was 9 years old, I first heard the Gospel through a testimony at Lake Lundgren Bible Camp (LLBC), and it opened my heart to Jesus. Ever since, camp has been a yearly source of encouragement, helping me grow in my faith and turn away from sin. In 2022, I attended Leadership Development Camp (LDC) at LLBC, and it was a turning point in my walk with Christ. It was one of the most impactful and fun experiences of my life. I made lasting, Christ-centered friendships and fully committed to living for Jesus, choosing to run from sin and pursue Him with everything I have. Since then, I’ve been counseling at LLBC, with a desire to help others know the Gospel and grow in their faith, just like I did.

  • “I had the best week of my life this week! I loved learning about God and getting to praise him with so many amazing people who also love Him. I had a ton of amazing conversations with so many counselors and campers about him that really opened my eyes. LLBC is my favorite place on earth and I’m happy I get to spend time here every summer.”

  • Lake Lundgren has been a huge blessing to us as a family. We started going to Family Camp with our kids when they were little and now they are old enough to participate in different camps offered for their age. We feel comfortable sending them to Lake Lundgren because we have gotten to know the staff through our Family Camp experiences.

  • Lake Lundgren Bible Camp is a beautifully gifted ministry that has provided my children and family with wholesome fun and impactful experiences. Every camp and retreat we have attended has been remarkably meaningful and life changing. The fellowship, teaching, discipleship training, confidence building opportunities, and leadership is Christ centered and grounded in the Word of God. The camp food and culture is also unbeatable! If there is anything my kids are afraid of missing out on, it’s a Lake Lundgren Bible Camp experience! I praise the Lord for this ministry and outreach!
